Usually, I like to masturbate late at night, when I am unlikely to be disturbed. If I'm taking my time I lube up and enjoy all the feelings that accompany the buildup to orgasm. I have to admit I am not the best person at holding off orgasm. Sometimes I can manage it fine, continually edging toward the "point of no return" and then stopping before I actually get there — but on other occasions I feel orgasm approaching and just carry on to the inevitable conclusion.

I used to masturbate mainly in the bathroom; it's convenient and safe, as the risk of being interrupted is minimal. As I grew older, though, I found that my wish to explore my body fully and enjoy the whole masturbation experience meant I needed to be in a different kind of environment. I began masturbating in my bedroom more and more, although doing that has created a few occasions when I have very nearly been walked in upon.

I have only actually been "caught" masturbating on one occasion. I was 15 and had just discovered porn on the Internet. I was at at my computer, one hand on the mouse and one giving all its attention to my penis. My mother knocked on the door; I panicked and she walked in, to be confronted by the sight of me with my trousers around my ankles, erect penis in hand, and a picture of a naked woman on the screen. She just walked out. We never talked about it; I think she realized it is just something I need to do, although I was surprised she didn't comment on the pornography — after all, I was only 15.

I have masturbated in most of the rooms in the house; I always used to especially enjoy using the lounge for my sessions. More recently, the shower has become one of my favorite places. If the house is empty, I can take my time, and the showerhead lends itself to many different applications! The first time I masturbated in the shower nearly put me off for life, though. I decided to use soap for a lube. Unfortunately some of it worked its way into the wrong place, and my penis stung for the rest of the day.

I've also masturbated outside, although I did this only once. In the summer of '98 I was on holiday, staying in a villa in the middle of nowhere. The place was surrounded by fields, and one day, when everyone else was out, I decided to go outside and see what the sun felt like on my penis. The excitement and novelty of the situation meant I didn't last very long, although the orgasm was one of the most intense I have ever experienced. I intend to do it again sometime, but it's a matter of finding the right spot at the right time.

I've tried a lot of different techniques. It took me a while to progress from the usual "Fist" method, but I now use a wide range of methods to spice up my sessions and make them far more enjoyable. I love using lube, but I don't do it very often because it tends to be messy and makes for a difficult cleanup. When I get the chance, I tend to make the most of it. I have also tried anal stimulation. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to try it, but having experienced it I can say it adds a lot of pleasure to any masturbation session.

I love to masturbate. I don't go around shouting about the fact that I do it, but I believe it is normal and healthy and very enjoyable. It can also be a fantastic way to kill time! I'd like to be more open about masturbation, and I've wondered what it would be like to masturbate with another man. However, I don't believe I would be able to pluck up the courage to ask anyone I know.

Masturbation is undoubtedly an important part of my life. Ask me to stop and I am sure I would find it impossible.
