What is the reason for this? Is it due to the alkalinity of the ejaculate, perhaps the oxidizing agents present in the solution (e.g. chlorine), or could it be, as many of my friends have theorized, that the sperm cells are actually trying to "fertilize" one's eyes?
Certainly not the latter! I would guess that there isn't one specific thing that causes semen to sting the eyes. Semen is a mixture of many substances, and outside of water and saline solution, it's rare for anything put into the eye not to sting. Basically, the sting is the eye telling the brain, "That stuff doesn't belong in here." As for your eyeball getting pregnant, I wouldn't worry about it.
Do you find yourself masturbating more often during some seasons than others? Why?
